It’s a Family Thing CIC supports children, young people and families to create positive memories, build confidence, improve wellbeing and strengthen community connections through inclusive activities, family support and shared experiences.
Our Story
It’s A Family Thing CIC was founded in 2022 with a simple vision: to create opportunities for children and families to connect, grow and make positive memories together.
Originally established as S&K Creative Artz Kidz CIC, the organisation began by providing creative activities that supported children’s confidence, wellbeing and social development.
As demand grew, we listened to families and expanded our work.
In 2024, we rebranded as It’s A Family Thing CIC to better reflect our commitment to strengthening family relationships, reducing isolation and creating inclusive opportunities for children and families across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
Today, we deliver a range of activities, events and community projects that help children and families feel connected, supported and valued.

As a mother as 4 the only time I can take my kids to the panto is when there is a major discount deal on. They have only been once and we have done a few activities with Sekia now and she makes it fun for the kids.
