Adventure outings
Over the past 2 years we’ve had the pleasure of organising several exciting trips, each offering a unique adventure for families to create memories. From sandy shores to educational explorations, here’s a look back at some of our most memorable outings. Here’s some of our adventures:
A Day at Weston-superu-Mare Beach
Our trip to Weston-super-Mare was a perfect escape to the seaside. The day was filled with laughter, sandcastles, and the refreshing sea breeze. Here’s what made our day special:
- Relaxing by the Sea: The beach at Weston-super-Mare offered a serene environment for everyone to unwind. Some of us took leisurely strolls along the pier, while others dipped their toes in the cool waters.
- Building Sandcastles: It wouldn’t be a beach trip without a little competition! We had a sandcastle-building contest, and the creativity was off the charts.
- Traditional Seaside Treats: Fish and chips, ice cream, and candy floss were enjoyed by all. The local cafes and kiosks provided the perfect seaside snacks.
Blackpool
Our visit to Blackpool was all about fun and excitement.
Families got the opportunities to try out different places such as :
- Blackpool Tower: We started our day with a visit to the Blackpool Tower. The view from the top was breathtaking, and the Tower Dungeon gave us a good scare!
- Pleasure Beach: Pleasure Beach was the highlight of the trip. Roller coasters, arcade games, and live entertainment kept everyone on their toes.
Exploring Science at Thinktank, Birmingham
Thinktank in Birmingham was an educational trip that combined learning with fun. This interactive science museum had something for everyone:
- Interactive Exhibits: The hands-on exhibits allowed us to engage with science in a fun and interactive way. From the Spitfire Gallery to the Planetarium, each section offered a new learning experience.
- Workshops and Demonstrations: We participated in a few workshops and watched live demonstrations that brought science to life.
A Sweet Experience at Cadbury World
Our trip to Cadbury World was a chocolate lover’s dream come true. We explored into the rich history of Cadbury and indulged in some of the finest chocolate:
- The Chocolate Making Process: We learned about the journey of cocoa beans from the farm to the factory. Watching the chocolate-making process up close was fascinating.
- Tasting Sessions: Of course, the highlight of the trip was the tasting sessions! We sampled some of Cadbury’s most famous products and even got to create our own chocolate treats
- The 4D Chocolate Adventure: The 4D cinema experience was great with everyone. We felt like we were inside a world made of chocolate – it was as delicious as it sounds!
Final Thoughts
These trips have been more than just outings; they were opportunities for our children and families to connect, learn, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Big thankyou to our funders throughout the year, such as: Arnold Clarke, Wolverhampton Community Chest, The Arts Council. Helping us to make these opportunities happen.
We look forward to sharing our next blog post with you.
